  •     Fluctuating network states as predispositions of conscious perception
  •     Interaction between brain oscillations and network-level states
  •     Neural mechanisms of tinnitus
  •     Online effects of neurostimulation

Short biography:

  • since 2015: Full professor for physiological psychology and head of MEG unit at the Centre for Cognitive Neuroscience of the University of Salzburg
  • 2012-2015: Associate professor and head of MEG laboratory at the Center for Mind / Brain Sciences (CIMeC; Univ. of Trento)
  • 2008-2012: Emmy-Noether Group leader and Fellow of the Zukunftskolleg at the University of Konstanz
  • 2006-2008: Postdoc at the INSERM U821 (Brain Dynamics and Cognition lab; Director: Dr. Olivier Bertrand)
  • 2004-2006: Postdoc at the University of Konstanz
  • 2001-2004: PhD on the topic “Electromagnetic Correlates of Injury-Induced Auditory Cortical Plasticity: Implications for the Development and Maintenance of Subjective Tinnitus”
